Everything you need to resolve your case.

  • A guided interview, not a blank form. Answer plain-language questions, and Turtle Tax puts each answer on the right line of the right IRS form, with the calculations done for you.
  • The IRS’s own standards, built in. Your figures are measured against the published IRS Collection Financial Standards, so you see what the IRS is likely to allow before you send anything.
  • A side-by-side IRS view. Compare your figures with what the IRS is likely to allow, line by line, and see where the differences are.
  • Built-in checks. Turtle Tax flags missing answers, inconsistent figures and common calculation errors before they reach the IRS.
  • A cover letter and mailing checklist. Your package is ready to sign and mail, with a cover letter addressed for your case and a checklist so nothing is left out.
  • Help on every page. Turtle Tips explain what each question means, and Ask Tucker answers your questions as you go.
  • Change paths without starting over. If your case calls for a different option, upgrade, and nothing gets re-entered.
  • English or Spanish. Work in either language, including the Spanish versions of the IRS forms.
  • Your case in one place. Pick a relief path, work through the financial statements, and pick up where you left off.

Built From Real IRS Experience

Turtle Tax was designed by our co-founder, who began his career as a CPA, later earned a Master’s Degree in Taxation and a Law Degree, and spent more than 16 years interacting directly with the IRS as a practicing Tax Attorney.

That experience informed how the software is structured – reflecting published IRS procedures, required financial disclosures, and common administrative requirements. The platform focuses on education and organization, helping users understand what information the IRS typically requests and how it is presented, so they can complete required forms accurately and efficiently.

This real-world perspective is embedded throughout Turtle Tax, providing clarity around IRS processes without replacing professional judgment or decision-making.
